The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) 2022, the world's top event in the tourism attraction industry, has officially ended in Orlando, Florida, USA. The Brass Ring Awards was established by IAAPA which is the world's largest international permanent amusement facilities and scenic attraction industry association. It marks an outstanding achievement recognized by the whole global attraction industry. It can be called one of the most prestigious honors in the global attraction industry. It aims to recognize the best amusement parks and products, as well as excellent performances and creativity in the global attraction industry. It also can be said to be the "Oscar Award" in the global cultural and tourism industry.

The annual awards recognize amusement parks, water parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, family entertainment centers (FECs), and suppliers from around the world for excellence in food and beverage, games and retail, human resources, live entertainment, marketing, new products, and exhibits.
The tradition of the brass ring, a term now synonymous with spectacular achievement, dates back to the 1800s when rings were hung on carousels to pose a fun challenge for riders. Successfully grabbing a ring while riding the carousel often earned riders prizes, often including an additional free ride. Most rings were made of iron, but a few were made of brass, so grabbing the brass ring was a coveted and celebrated treat.
The IAAPA Brass Ring Awards honor this tradition by celebrating achievements of excellence throughout the global attractions industry. The IAAPA Brass Ring Awards are considered one of the global attractions industry’s most prestigious honors.

Awakening Adam is a stunt show in the Fantasy Valley of Xiangyang OCT Fantasy Resort, the first universe exploration theme park in China, and one of the three finalists of the IAAPA Brass Ring Award in 2022 for "the most creative sport/stunt show". The main show of "Awakening Adam" is located in the Alliance Arena of Fantasy Valley in Xiangyang OCT, Hubei Province. The show covers an area of 10000 m2 and can accommodate 3000 audience. It is the largest live stunt show in the Fantasy Valley and was produced by Vanyee.
As the world's first "Steampunk machine" live stunt show, “Awakening Adam” integrates advanced technologies such as new audio-visual, artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction, comprehensively presents micro and macro perspectives, and allows tourists to achieve diversified immersion feelings and multi-level sensory experience. The whole work subverts the traditional static theater form, and reflects the high quality and high level of China's original high-tech theme performances with multiple "world's first" scientific and technological innovation highlights, such as the world's only mobile "giant robot" stage, the world's only "Steampunk" style mechanical theater, the world's first stunt show with the theme of "Robot and Human Beings".
Looking at the awards of IAAPA Brass Ring Awards in recent years in the category of outstanding live performance, most of them focus on the performance projects of foreign leading theme parks. However, with more and more international theme parks landing in China, the development of domestic theme parks also ushers in a new height, presenting a trend of high-speed, diversified and innovative development.
